Ikariam Research

Research in Ikariam is divided into four areas:
- Military
- Science
- Economy
- Sea-Faring
You can select which of these areas your scientists are currently researching in the academy. To get to the screen above, simply select your academy and then click on the big Change button under Field of Research. As you advance through research, the time needed for the research to be completed will increase. The Ikariam First Steps guides you through which areas I recommend to research first.
For example, Deck Weapons which is the first Sea-Faring research only takes 20 minutes at the start to be completed, whereas Counterweight which ist he 7th research takes 7 days at the current number of workers as set by the Academy upgrade level. The higher the number of scientists set by you, the faster these researches will be completed. Also, the maximum number of scientists is set by the Academy level which you can increase by expanding.

What i did was to first finish off the basic researching…and at a stretch researched and finish “Glass”…
:D
The beauty of the game comes after Glass! So all those crystal glass u have piled up can be used to accelerate other researches! With the help of Crystal Glass i finished 2 researches under 20 seconds,if not which would have taken at least 7+ days to complete!

Can you show what the final researches like Military Future, Utopia, etc. do?
