Ikariam Tips & Info

A museum is useful because as with the tavern, it increase the growth rate of your town. The higher the growth rate, the quicker your population will increase and as each citizen makes 4 gold per hour, the more money you make - simply huh ?
It’s not easy to reach the stage where you can build a museum. First of all, you need to research the following:
Sea Faring: Deck Weapons, Ship Maintenance, Expansion
Economy: Conservation, Pulley, Wealth, Wine Press, Culinary Specialties
Science: Well Digging, Paper, Espionage, Invention, Ink, Cultural Exchange
Military: Dry Dock, Maps, Professional Army
After you researched all those, you click on a red flag in your town and choose to build the museum. The building resources needed are 265 wood, 78 marble and a patience of 90 minutes from your pat.
Next it’s time to get cultural treaties for your museum. For this, you need to find another player who is at the same stage as you; in other words built a museum.
To offer a cultural treaty, go to your Diplomacy Adviser and select “Cultural Goods Treaty” from the drop down menu. Then you write something, a message about the treaty, etc. just as if you’d do if you wanted to Ally and click send. You will then have to wait and see if the other player accepted your Ikariam treaty.
Once your player has accepted the offer, you will get one cultural treaty. Now go to your museum building and click on Redistribute Cultural Treaty to assign the the cultural treaty to the museum. With each expansion level your maximum number of cultural treaties increases.
To cancel your cultural treaty from the museum, you click on the badge in the museum window. If your partner chooses to discontinue the treaty, you will be announced by the diplomacy adviser, so don’t worry, you won’t miss anything.
Now farewell and good luck with your adventures in Ikariam! May all of you who are not on the same world as me have a prosperous gameplace
hehe just kidding!

In the World view, find the Island, and then Town of the player you want to exchange with. Then click the Diplomacy button on the left. Then you’ll have a drop-down option. It’s not directly from the Diplomacy Adviser.

Kulturguterabkommen anbieten is german for “Cultural Goods Treaty”. You pick a guy that you want to offer a cultural treaty with, then you press the diplomacy button (you send that guy a PM/message). But, in the drop list you choose “Kulturguterabkommen anbieten”. Then you write something nice and just stand by for him/her to accept your cultural treaty offer.

Probably faulty translation!

“Kulturguterabkommen anbieten” is german for “Cultural Goods Treaty”. So thats the one!

Kulturguterabkommen anbieten means Culture good agreements offer in german.
You can amass more cultural goods than you have museums to put them in. So offer a bunch and have some extra for when you do upgrade your museum!

Yes, Kultur… is german and it means “Cultural Alliance Treaty.” Just choose this and send the message, it’ll get you what you want.

how do i get cultural artifacts without a cultural treaty
Posted by tankilo on 05.11.08 11:09 pm
You will have to get a cultural treaty (send them a message of “Kulturguterabkommen anbieten” and hope they accept.
(Be sure to click on a town name whose letters appear in Black, not in Grey) If you have 1 spot, I’d send out like 3.
Once you get a diplomacy note that it’s been accepted. Go to your museum and choose “Redistribute Cultural Goods” and move your slider bars to the right to put them into your museums.
